| antagonist | The character or force that causes problems for the protagonist. |
| exaggeration | When something is made to seem bigger, better, or more important than it really is |
| perspective | The way a story is told or how a character sees and understands things. |
| Science Fiction | genre involving the imagined impact of technology on society |
| Thriller | a suspenseful story, play, or movie |
| essay | piece of writing where someone shares their ideas, opinions, or information about one topic. |
| Prose | writing that uses normal sentences and paragraphs, just like the way we talk every day. |
| short story | A short piece of fiction that tells a complete story with a beginning, middle, and end. |
| Novella | A story that is longer than a short story but shorter than a novel; short novel. |
| memoir | A true story written by someone about their own life or a special memory. |
