QuestionAnswer
Telescope An instrument that makes distance objects appear closer and larger.
Planet A large object that orbits a star and does not produce its own light.
Moon A natural objects that orbits a planet.
Satellite A natural or artiffival object in space that circles around another object.
Comet A mixtureleft of ice, frozen ghasses, rock, and dust left over from the formation of solar systems.
Asteroid One of many small, rocky objects between Mars and Jupiter.
Meteror A chunk of rock from Space that travels through Earth's atmosphere.
Star An object in space that produces its own energy, includive heat and light.
Nebula A huge cloud of gas and dust in space that is the first stage of star formation.
White Dwarf A star that can no longer turn helium into carbon; it cools and shiring becaomes very small.
Supernova A star that has produced more energy than gravity can had together and has exploaded.
Black Hole An object wgose gravity is so strong that light cannot escape.
Constellation Any of the patterns that are formed by a group of stars in the night sky.
Light-year The distance light travels in a year.
Glaxy A collection of sitions of stars.
