Ascending Colon the first, 12–20 cm segment of the large intestine on the right side of the abdomen, stretching from the cecum to the hepatic flexure
ransverse Colon the longest, most movable part of the large intestine, spanning the upper abdomen to absorb water, nutrients, and electrolytes while forming stool.
Descending Colon the left-side segment of the large intestine, extending from the splenic flexure to the sigmoid colon, that stores feces and absorbs remaining water and electrolytesSigmoid Colon
Sigmoid Colon the S-shaped final section of the large intestine, located in the lower-left abdomen, connecting the descending colon to the rectum
