| interquartile range | the difference between the third quartile and the first quatile |

| outlier | a data point that varies significantly from the rest of the data |
| symmetrical | a shape with perfect symetry |
| bi-model | the distribution has two modes |
| uniform | the distribution of data is all the same |
| M.A.D | the average distance that the data points in a set are from mean |
| quartile 1 | median of first half |
| quartile 3 | median of secound half |
| probability | the likely hood that something will happen |
| impossible | the event will never happen |
| certain | the event will definitely happen |
| equally probable/equally likely | Halfway between impossible and certain |
