QuestionAnswer
Discretionary dependency A type of dependency that the project manager and project team choose to impose on the project schedule, such as the use of an established corporate practice.
External dependency A relationship between project activities and non-project activities.
Fast Tracking A schedule compression technique in which you do activities in parallel that you would normally do in sequence
Finish-to-finish An activity relationship type that requires the current activity to be finished before its successor can finish.
Finish-To-Start An activity relationship type that requires the current activity to be finished before its successor can start.
Gantt chart Graphic display of schedule related information in the form of a bar chart.
Lag A modification of a logical relationship that directs a delay in the successor activity
Lead A modification of a logical relationship that allows an acceleration of the successor activity.
Mandatory dependency A type of dependency where the relationship between two tasks is created by the type of work the project requires.
Network Diagram A graphical representation of the logical relationships among the project schedule activities.
