Labor Physical work done by people in exchange for money in factories
Factory System a new way of making goods where workers and machines gather in one building
Mass Production Making a huge number of the exact same item very quickly using machines
Merchant A person who buys and sells goods like wool or cloth to make a profit
Middle Class A new class of wealthy landowners
Working Class A class of people who worked long hours for little pay
Pollution The burning of coal of coal for steam to create energy
