| Term | Definition |

| Mean | The mean is a measure of the center. |
| mode | The mode is the number the occurs the most |
| range | The largest number that is subtracted by the smallest number. |
| inner quartile range | The 50% of the box and wiskers plot |
| outlier | The number that is very far away from the other number. |
| skewed left | When the graph plot are on the right side |
| skewed right | When the graph plot are on the left side is |
| quartile 1 | The first number that is in the IQR |
| quartile 3 | The third number that is in the IQR |
| symmetrical | When the graph is almost symmetrical on both sides of it. |
| bi-modal | When there are two humps that are in the graph. |
| probability | The event of certain impossible or unlikely |
| impossible | It will never happen |
| certain | It will always happen |
| unlikely | It is between 0 and 1/2 |
| likely | It is between 1/2 and 1 |
| equally probable/equally likely | It could happen or it could not happen |
| uniform | The data is all the same or flat |
| mean absolute deviation | mean absolute deviation is the total range of it all |
| Complement | It is the opposite of an event, it includes all outcomes that are not part of the original event. |
| sample size | Is the number of thing that you use in a statistical question |
| median | It is the middle number in a data set |
