| median | a measure of center, the middle data to the value |
| mode | the value that occurs the most |
| range | describes how the values in a data set vary with a single number |
| inter quartile range | represents the difference between the 3rd and first quartile |
| outlier | a data point that varies significantly |
| skewed left | data has a long tail extending to the left |
| skewed right | data has a long tail extending to the right |
| uniform | if the distribution of the data is all the same. |
| bi modal | distribution has 2 modes. |
| mean | the average of a set of numbers |
| MAD | the means distance from all the numbers in the data sat then the average of those. |
| symmetrical | when the data is close enough to symmetrical. |
| probability | the cancer that something will happen |
| impossible | when it will never happen |
| certian | when it is 100 percent going to happen |
| equally probable | its a 50 50 shot |
| unlikely | that is will most likely not happen |
| likely | that it will probably happen |
| sample size | the number of participants or observations included in a study |
| complimentary | when you are doing the opposite of the statistics |
