QuestionAnswer
median a measure of center, the middle data to the value
mode the value that occurs the most
range describes how the values in a data set vary with a single number
inter quartile range represents the difference between the 3rd and first quartile
outlier a data point that varies significantly
skewed left data has a long tail extending to the left
skewed right data has a long tail extending to the right
uniform if the distribution of the data is all the same.
bi modal distribution has 2 modes.
mean the average of a set of numbers
MAD the means distance from all the numbers in the data sat then the average of those.
symmetrical when the data is close enough to symmetrical.
probability the cancer that something will happen
impossible when it will never happen
certian when it is 100 percent going to happen
equally probable its a 50 50 shot
unlikely that is will most likely not happen
likely that it will probably happen
sample size the number of participants or observations included in a study
complimentary when you are doing the opposite of the statistics
