Study stack terms
| Term | Definition |

| Median | The middle number in a set of data |
| Mode | The most repeated number in a set of data |
| Range | The distance from the highest number in the data set and the lowest number in the data set. |
| Inner quartile Range | A measure of variability. It represents the difference between the third quartile and the first quartile. |
| Outlier | A data point that varies significantly from the others |
| Skewed - Right | If a distribution has a long tail extending to the right. |
| Skewed - left | If a distribution has a long tail extending to the left |
| Symmetrical | The shape is perfectly symmetric because it can be divided into two halves. |
| Bi-modal | If the distribution has two modes (or "humps") it is bi-modal |
| Uniform | If the distribution of data is all the same (or flat) |
| Mean | A measure of center. The average of the data. |
| Mean absolute deviation | The average distance that the data points are from the mean. |
| Sample size | The number of data points collected. |
| Quartile 1 | The first quartile in between the lower extreme and the mean |
| Quartile 3 | The third quartile in between the mean and the upper extreme |
| Probablility | The chances that a certain event will happen |
| Impossible | An event that has a probability of 0 |
| Certain | An event that has the probability of 1 |
| Equally Probable | Events that have a probability of 1/2 |
| Equally Likely | Events that have a probability that is 1/2 |
| Unlikely | An event event that has a chance between 0 and 1/2 chance of happening |
| Likely | An event that will most usually happen. |
| Compliment | A statistical event that is the opposite of the original event. |
