| median | measure of center |
| mode | value that occurs most often in a data set |
| range | distance between the largest and smallest number |
| inner quartile range | measure between the first and third quartile |
| outlier | varies significantly from the rest of the data |
| skewed left | long tail that extends out to the left |
| skewed right | long tail that extends out to the right |
| symmetrical | 2 mirror image sides that look the exact same |
| bi modal | 2 modes or humps in it |
| uniform | data is all the same or flaat |
| mean | all of the numbers added then divided by how many numbers there are in the data set |
| mean absolute value | variability or how spread out a data set is |
| probability | |
| certain | a event that will definitely heppen |
| equally probable/equally likely | between certain and impossible 1/2 |
| unlikely | between 0 and 1/2 |
| likely | between 1/2 and 1 |
| impossible | a event that will never happen |
| complement | the probility of getting a certain event and getting the outcome that you want to happen. |
