median the median is a measure of center it is the middle data to find the median order the values from least to greatest
mode the median is a measure of center it is the value that occurs the most often a data set has one mode no mode or more then one
range the range is the measure of variability a measure of variability describes how the values in a data set vary with a single number
inner quartile range the innerquartile range is a measure of variability it represents the difference between the third quartile and first quartile
outlier a outliner is a data point that varies significantly from the reest of the data and outlier will be a value that is either significantly larger or smaller the other observations
skewed left if the distribution has a long tail extending to the left it is skewed the left
skewed right if the distribution has a long tail extending to the right it is skewed to the right
symmetrical the shape perfectly symmetric because it can be divided into two halves a left half and a right half that are mirror images of each other the do not have a perfect symmetry
bi model if the distribution has two models for humps it is a bi model
unform if the distribution of data is all the same or flat it is a uniform distribution uniform distribution have no mode and are also considered symmetrical
quartile 1 first quartile median of 1st half
quartile 3 third quartile median of 2st half
sample sized the number of observations or individuals included in a study or experiment.
impossible some events will never happen because they are impossible
certain other events will definitely happen because they are certain
equally likely an event that is equally likely to occur or not to occur
unlikely unlikely are closer to impossible
likely and likely events are closer to certain
probable an event that is equally likely to occur or not to occur
