Vocab words for quiz (study)

QuestionAnswer
Median Is a measure of center, and is the middle data.
Mode it is the value which occurs the most often.
Range It is a measure of variability describes how the values in a data vary.
Inner quartile range Is the measure of variability it represents the difference between the third quartile and the first quartile.
Outlier It is the data point that varies significantly from the rest of the data.
Skewed-left The distribution has a tail going to the left.
skewed-right The distribution has a tail that is going to the right.
symmetrical If the shape is cut in half both of the sides will be about the same.
Bi-modal This distribution had two humps
uniform the distribution has to be all flat for this one.
Quartile 1 the first value that divides the data.
Quartile 3 The third value that divides the data.
impossible This likelihood is something that will never happen
certain This likelihood is something that is guaranteed to happen.
equally likely This likelihood is something that is fifty fifty to happen.
unlikely This likelihood is between 0 and 1/2
likely This likelihood is something between 1/2 and 1.
sample size Describes the number of data points collected in the sample
probability It is a likelihood that an event will happen can be given a number value.
Complement This is the opposite of what is the event
