Your friend says that blood has no role in breathing. Do you agree or disagree and why? Disagree because alveoli have blood vessels that transport oxygen to blood and take away carbon dioxide.
What is the function of the circulatory system? Transports nutrients, gases and wastes in the body.
What are the 3 parts of the circulatory system? Heart, blood, blood vessels
How does the heart work? When it contracts blood pushes out of the heart and when it relaxes blood rushes into the heart.
What are the 3 types of blood vessels? Veins, Capillaries, arteries
What do arteries do? Take blood AWAY from the heart
What do veins do? Take blood TOWARDS the heart.
What do capillaries do? Transport blood to other systems
Which circulatory system uses blood vessels? Closed circulatory system
Which circulatory system allows blood to flow into open spaces? Open circulatory system
What are the 4 chambers of the human heart? Left atrium, right atrium, left ventricle, right ventricle
Which type of circulatory system moves blood faster? Closed circulatory system
