Analyzing The process of examining data to extract meaningful information
Axis Horizontal (x) – Vertical (y)
Cell The smallest unit of a worksheet, formed at the intersection of a row and a column
Cell Reference Location of a cell or range of cells using a combination of column letters and row numbers
Column Vertical arrangement of cells, identified by letters
Data Information, often numerical, collected for analysis.
Formula Mathematical expressions used to perform calculations on data.
Function A predefined formula
Chart/Graph A visual representation of data (line, bar or pie)
Numerical Data Data expressed as numbers
Range The cells that are active (selected)
Row Horizontal arrangement of cells, identified by numbers
Spreadsheet A powerful tool for organizing, analyzing, and visualizing data.
Name Box Displays the address of the active cell
