Acute Angle An angle that measures more than 0 degrees and less than 90 degrees
Vertex a corner point where two or more straight lines, sides, or edges meet in a shape.
Ray a part of a line that has a fixed starting point but no endpoint. It can extend infinitely in one direction
Protractor a tool used to measure angles
Degrees Unit of measurement for temperature and angles.
counter clockwise the opposite direction in which a clock moves
parallel lines Lines that never cross and stay the same distance apart
Line a geometric figure that extends forever in both directions
obtuse angle an angle that measures more than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees
Parallelogram a four-sided shape (quadrilateral) where both pairs of opposite sides are parallel and equal in length.
Line Segment a geometric figure that has two end points
Rectangle a four-sided flat shape (a quadrilateral) that has four right angles
Line of Symmetry an imaginary line that divides a 2D shape into two identical, matching halves that are mirror images of each other
Perpendicular two straight lines that meet or intersect (cross) to form a right angle
Straight angle An angle that measures exactly 180 degrees
Intersecting lines Two straight lines that meet or cross
Square a flat, 2D shape (a polygon) that has four straight, equal-length sides and four right angles (90-degree corners)
Right Angle An angle that measures exactly 90 degrees
Point a precise location or position in space, represented by a tiny dot and labeled with a capital letter
Trapezoid a four-sided flat shape (quadrilateral) that has exactly one pair of parallel sides
Rhombus a four-sided flat shape (quadrilateral) where all four sides are the same length
Clockwise the direction in which the hands of a clock move, starting from the top and going to the right, down, and around
