The planes refer to the body when it is vertical and facing front.
Regions of the body Refer to a specific organ, area, or bone in the upper body
Regions of the body Middle portion is referred as abdominal and pelvic cavities
Larger Divisions Four quadrants
Smaller Divisions Nine regions
LLQ left lower quadrant
LUQ left upper quadrant
RLQ Right lower quadrant
RUQ Right upper quadrant
