| German Measles | Another name for rubella, which can cause birth defects. |
| Job Coach | A person who helps someone with a disability succeed at work. |
| Low-Incidence Disability | A disability that is rare in the population. |
| Meningitis | Inflammation of the brain and spinal cord lining, can cause serious health issues. |
| Motor-Speech Disorder | Problems controlling the muscles needed for speech. |
| Multiple Disability | Having more than one type of disability at the same time. |

| Self-Determination | Being able to make your own choices and control your life. |
| Self-Injurious Behavior (SIB) | Behavior that hurts oneself, like head banging. |
| Self-Stimulation | Repetitive movements or actions done for sensory feedback. |
| Severe Disability | A disability that causes major limitations in daily life. |
| Sheltered Workshop | A work program where people with disabilities work in a controlled setting. |
| Touch Cues | Using touch to guide communication or learning. |
| Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) | Brain injury from an accident or trauma. |
| Tunnel Vision | Loss of side vision; only seeing straight ahead. |
| Usher Syndrome | A genetic disorder causing both hearing loss and vision loss. |
