APARTHEID is South Africa’s governmental policy of separation of the races.
CAPITAL GOOD A productive resource consisting of human-made materials needed to produce goods and services.
COMMUNISM the type of government in which the government owns all property and dominates all aspects of life in a country.
IMPERIALISM an attempt to dominate a country’s government, trade, and culture.
INITIATIVE a petition process by which voters can put a proposed constitutional amendment on the ballot.
PARLIAMENTARY MONARCHY type of government is ruled by a queen, but all laws are passed and enforced by an elected parliament.
ARABIC the dominant culture that spreads across the country borders of North Africa and the Middle East.
. MIDDLE LATITUDES this is where temperate climates occur.
REFUGEE When people flee to another country because of political, social or economic unrest.
TEMPERATE ZONE includes climates like, Mediterranean, humid subtropical and marine west coast.
MEDITERRANEAN Sunny, warm summers and mild, wet winters is a description of this type of climate.
DESERTIFICATION The loss of soil fertility and plant life
ETHNIC GROUP - A group of people who share a common culture and ancestry.
