Drug Effects Local, systemic, therapeutic, side
Adverse effects of drugs Synergism, antagonism, potentiation, idiosyncrasy, tolerance, cumulation, toxicity, interaction, physical dependence and psychological dependence.
Commonly abused drugs Alcohol, nicotine, anabolic steroids, cocaine, marijuana, sedatives or hypnotics, barbiturates etc...
Responsibilities' of Healthcare workers with drug abuse Consult with nurse in charge for any questions, keep medications locked up, administer prescribed drugs only, and watch for dependence of drugs or improper drug use.
