Ecosystems
| Term | Definition |

| Organisms | Living thing, different types of organisms live in different types of surroundings or environments. |
| Habitat | An environment that provides the things a specific organism needs to live, grow, and reproduce. |
| Biotic factor | The parts of a habitat that are or were once alive. |
| Abiotic factor | The non living parts of an organisms habitat. |
| Species | All the members of one species living in a particular area. |
| Popularity | All the different populations that live together in an area. |
| Community | Organisms that live in particular area along with the non living environment. |
| Ecosystem | A species is a group of organisms that can mate with each other and produce offspring. |
| Ecology | The study of how organisms interact with each other and with their environment. |
| Population density | The number of individuals in an area of a specific size. |
| Limiting factor | Environmental factor that causes a population to stop growing or to decrease in size. |
| Carrying capacity | The largest population that an area can support it’s called carrying copacity. |
| Symbiosis | Is any relationship in which two special live together. |
| Niche | Includes how an organism obtains its food. |
| Competition | When two people share a niche. |
| Predation | One organism is the predator and other is the prey |
