Data Terms

TermDefinition
Mean The average of numbers in the data set
Median After a set of #'s are orderd from least to greatists the middle number is the median
Mode The mode is the number that occurs the MOST in a data set
Range The range is the difference of the largest & smallest number in the data set
outlier A # that is much larger or smaller than other numbers in the data set
IQR The interquartile range is the middle half of the data and is centerd around median
