mean, median, mode

TermDefinition
mean the average of the numbers in a data set
median after a set of numbers are ordered least to greatest, find the middle number and that is your median
mode the number in a data set that is being used the most
range the difference between the largest and the smallest number in a data set
IQR the middle half of the data set is centered around the median. 1. order from least to greatest, 2. find the median, 3. find the median of the upper and lower quartiles 1 and 3, 4. subtract to find the IQR
outlier the smallest or largest number farthest away from the rest of the numbers in a data set
