| postdate | to write a date on something that is after (at a later date) than the moment of writing |
| postwar | Occuring after a war |
| postseason | In sports referring to playoff games. Taking place after the end of a regular season |
| precedent | a similar action or event that happened at an earlier time |
| prefix | a word part or affix added in front (before) a base word or root that changes the meaning |
| prehistoric | A time before recorded history |
| preposition | A word that comes before a noun, pronoun or phrase connecting that word or words to the rest of the sentence |
| correction | A change to make right or fix an error |
| director | A person whose job is to make people and events go right- managing and guiding them |
| rectangle | A four sided shape with four right angles |
| rectify | To put something right or correct a problem |
