Muscle and Bones

TermDefinition
Circulatory System delivers substances to cells, carries waste away from cells, and helps regulate body temperature
Digestive System brings food and nutrients to the cells
Heart involuntary muscle that pump blood and has 4 chambers that move oxygen and blood
Left Atrium rich in oxygen
Right Atrium rich in carbon dioxide
Ventricles bottom 2 Chambers in the heart
Right ventricle brings carbon dioxide to the lungs to be released
Left Ventricle brings oxygen and is rich in blood throughout the body
Arteries largest blood vessels that carry away blood from the heart and is rich in blood and nutrients
Veins carry blood back to the heart and also carry waste materials
Capillaries connect the arteries and the veins smallest of the three blood vessals
Blood made of plasma and bloods
Plasma 90 percent water and carries materials cell need and takes away waste
Red Blood Cells have hemoglobin and carries oxygen to the cell and takes away carbon dioxide
White Blood Cells help fight disease and form in boen marrow
Platelets tiny colorless peices of cells that clot blood by sticking to a wound
