What is Autarky? Germany being a self sufficient nation, meaning they don't have to rely on other countries to survive
What was the RAD? The national labour service that gave men jobs in public work schemes

What is the 4 year plan? Speed up rearmament and prepare Germany for war, led to push for autarky
What was the DAF The control of the workforce, controlled discipline in workers
What did they regulate? work and pay, made it impossible to complain about working conditions
What did Hitler do to rearm the army? created hundreds of jobs in German production factories, Billions spent on manufacturing equipment such as tanks, ships and aircraft, Built major roads to the front lines
What was the KDF? Controlling the leisure activities of German workers, sponsored range of events in leisure and culture
Who was in charge of the 4 year plan? Herman Goring
What were the 3 Ks Kinder, Kircher, Kuche
Were women allowed to serve in Army? No
What were given to mothers dependent on the amount of children they had? Gold, silver and bronze medals
What was the motherhood cross? An award given to women who had the most amount of children, presented on the 12th of august
What were women not allowed to wear? makeup
What were women not allowed to do? smoke, work, interest in politics
What was lebensborn? special maternity homes which were designed to be breeding production of pure Aryan children, used for women who weren't married
