| Habitat | Environment that provides the things a specific organism needs to live , grow and reproduce . |
| Biotic | Parts of a habitat that are or were once alive |
| Abiotic | Are the no living parts of an organism's habitat |
| Species | Group of organisms that can mate with each other and produce offspring. |
| Population | All the members of one species living in an area. |
| Community | All the different populations in a big area. |
| Ecosystem | Community of organisms that lives in a particular are with nonliving environment. |
| Ecology | Study of how organisms interact with each other. |
| Producer | An organism that can make its own food. |
| Consumer | It obtains energy by feeding on other organisms. |
| Decomposer | They break down biotic wastes and dead organisms returning raw materials to the ecosystem. |
| Food chain | Is a series of events in which one organism eats another and obtains energy. |
| Food web | Consist of many overlapping food chains. |
| Energy pyramid | Shows the amount of energy that moves from one feeding level to another in a food web. |
| Photosynthesis | Is the set of chemical reactions plants use to turn light, water ,and nutrients into oxygen and energy. |
| Chlorophyll | Absorbs light much like cells in solar panels do. |
| Autotroph | Makes its own food. |
| Heterotroph | Can’t make its own food. |
| Niche | Includes how organisms o attains its food , they type of food organism eats , and what other organisms eat it. |
| Competition | When 2 species share a niche , 1 population may be affected. |
| Predation | When 1 organism kills on another food or nutrients. |
| Symbiosis | When species live closely live together. |
| Commensalism | One species benefit and other nor harmed or helped. |
| Mutualism | When both species benefit. |
| Parasitism | Invokes a organism living inside other organisms harming it.l |
