Central Idea the point, message, or argument an author wants to convey about a topic
Details True Confidential information.
Theme A unifying idea that is a recurrent element in literary or artistic work
Claims State for something to be true.
Evidence your basis for belief or disbelief
Explanation The act of explaining
Tone the distinctive property of a complex sound
Mood a characteristic (habitual or relatively temporary) state of feeling
Conflict an open clash between two opposing groups (or individuals)
Text Organization/ Structure A thing constructed
Point of View (Perspective) The perspective in which the story is told.
Setting The context and environment in which something is set.
Characters The people or animals in stories.
Plot The sequence of order in which things happen.
Author’s Intention/Purpose an anticipated outcome that is intended or that guides your planned actions
