| coevolution | two species adapt and evolve together to benefit each other |
| cooperation | two organisms work together for a mutual benefit |
| competition | organisms battle for resources |
| density- dependant | factor that affects the size of population also known as a regulating factor(disease, competition , and predation) |
| density-- independant | Factors that limit the number of individuals in an area regardless of the size of the population. (flooding, natural disaster, available oxygen) |
| invasive species | a species that inhabits a new ecosystem and causes great distress to native organisms. |
