| Detention | N. Act of detaining someone in official custody Example: People were put in detention for acting against the law |
| Fugitive | N. A person who has escaped from a place or is in hiding Example: There were many fugitives in Nazi Germany |
| Quarrels | N. Arguments, Disagreements Example: The two men had many quarrels |
| Gestapo | N. A secret police force of Nazi Germany, known for its brutality Example: The Gestapo were very brutal against the Jewish. |
| Foreboding | N. Sudden feeling that something bad is going to happen Example: He had a foreboding feeling about going to the park. |
| Apprehension | N. Fearful feeling about what will happen next Example: His apprehension of going to the haunted house turned out to be right. |
