| Term | Definition |

| Event | A set of one or more outcomes of an experiment. |
| Experiment | A repeatable procedure involving chance that results in one or more possible outcomes. |
| Outcome | One of the possible results of a chance of experiment. |
| Probability | A number between 0 and 1 that expresses the likelihood of an event occuring. |
| Factor (noun) | A number, or expression with parentheses, that is multiplied. |
| Fraction | A number that names equal parts of a whole; names a point on the number line and can also represent the division of two numbers. |
| Integers | The set of whole numbers and their opposites. |
| Multiple | The product of a given number and any other whole number. |
| Prime number | A whole number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself. |
| At random | In a way that does not follow a particular rule or pattern. |
| Likelihood | The chance that something will happen. |
| Occur | To happen or take place. |
