What does it mean to BE? it's an experience. Existence or life A proprioceptive response of having physical form. Understand of being separate from things around you. (differentiation.)
WHAT CREATES OUR PERCEPTION OF REALITY? processed by the brain and body through stimuli in our environment. Reality is an aggregate of these inputs, woven together and projected into our consciousness to generate our understanding of what we experience.
How does our perception of reality inform our experience of self? Proprioception is both a conscious and unconscious process. Through this process we experience and understand where are limbs are positionally in space through receptors throughout our body.
Understanding the parts to integrate the whole EXTEROCEPTION sensing the outside with senses that provide information about your external environment. helps define what you are seeing hearing tasting. interoception is internal sensory perceptions about temperature, tension and pain. current state
The sensory system and how it informs our somatic experience The senses can generate strong emotional sensations through memory . Music, smells and movements have all been studied to have this effect.
The Nervous System Is made up of 4 distinct parts : The brain and spinal cord = central nervous system The somatic and autonomic nervous system = peripheral nervous system
What is dysregulation Nervous System Dysregulation is an imbalance between the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems
Signs of dysregulation Emotional reactivity; rage, irritability Brain fog and poor memory Trouble paying attention or focusing Overwhelmed Chronic pain or illness Highly sensitive to stimuli Sleep disturbances Intense cravings Immune system issues Skin and gut issues
