TermDefinition
Archetype N. A universal, recurring symbol, character type, setting, or plot pattern in literature that evokes a deep, instinctive response across cultures and time periods "The arche type of the story was amazing"
Era N. A distinct span of time in history defined by shared intellectual, artistic, cultural, or social characteristics in literature "This era is so beautiful"
Movement N. A collective trend in literature where a group of authors, often within a specific timeframe or location, share common philosophies, artistic styles, themes, or goals "My favorite movement is romanticism"
Historical Account N. A narrative or record documenting past events, often focusing on accuracy, evidence, and chronological order "My historical account is way better than yours!"
Position N. An author's stance of relationship to the topic and audience "The author's position is that they agree"
Coherent Adj. A logically organized piece of writing where ideas, sentences, and paragraphs connect clearly to create an easily understood whole "The coherent was well written"
Focus N. The central controlling idea, theme, or topic that anchors a text, ensuring coherence by directing the audience’s attention to essential details "The focus of the story was hard to find"
Connotation N. The emotional, cultural, or associative meanings attached to a word beyond its literal definition "The connotation of the word was different from the denotation"
curate V. To select, organize, and present content, items, or artistic works, often using expert knowledge to provide context or a specific theme "I need to curate for my essay"
Text feature N. A component of a text that helps readers locate, understand, and organize information, particularly in non-fiction. For example, indexes, page numbers, headings, illustrations, and captions. "The text feature was well written"

Herded V. Moved a group of people or animals in a particular direction "The dog herded the sheep"
Sharp Adj. Highly intelligent, perceptive & able to understand complex situations rapidly "The boy had sharp senses"
Boarded V. Lived and ate at a location for payment "She boarded during the summer"
Drafted V. Involuntarily and mandatorily enlisted into military service 'He was drafted last week"
Ignorant Adj. Lacking knowledge or awareness; uneducated, unsophisticated "They are so ignorant"
Flung V. Threw with force "It was flung away like it didnt matter"
Catapulted V. Launched forward with machine-like force "It was catapulted away"
Lurched V. Staggered/moved unsteadily "She lurched after the roller coaster"
Struggling V. Trying to do with difficulty "He was struggling so much"
Impairments N. Injury; Damage "The impairments were unrepairable"
Frustrated Adj. Preventing from accomplishing "We were so frusturated"
