movement Noun a collective trend in literature where a group of authors, often within a specific timeframe or location, share common philosophies, artistic styles, themes, or goals The movement of authors were to make a change for climate change
historical account Noun a narrative or record documenting past events, often focusing on accuracy, evidence, and chronological order The historical account for the king was accurate
position Noun an author's stance or relationship to the topic and audience The postiton was very stressful
coherent Adjective a logically organized piece of writing where ideas, sentences, and paragraphs connect clearly to create an easily understood wh It was very coherent that he stole the gem
focus Noun the central controlling idea, theme, or topic that anchors a text, ensuring coherence by directing the audience’s attention to essential details I was focused to do the right thing
connotation Noun the emotional, cultural, or associative meanings attached to a word beyond its literal definition The connotations were done wrong
curate Verb to select, organize, and present content, items, or artistic works, often using expert knowledge to provide context or a specific theme The curate was very helpful
text feature Noun A component of a text that helps readers locate, understand, and organize information, particularly in non-fiction. For example, indexes, page numbers, headings, illustrations, and captions. The text feature was helpful due to it helping me find the correct page
herded Verb Moved a group of people or animals in a particular direction The shepherd herded the sheep away
sharp Adjective highly intelligent, perceptive, and able to understand complex situations rapidly It has been discovered that the man was very sharp
boarded Verb Lived and ate at a location (often someone’s home) for payment We boarded at my friend's house
drafted Verb Involuntarily and mandatorily enlisted into military service My brother got drafted into the army
ignorant Adjective Lacking knowledge or awareness; uneducated or unsophisticated The ignorant kid slammed into the wall
flung Verb Threw with force We flung the ball as ahrd as we can
catapulted Verb Launched forward with machine force They catapulted the castle walls
lurched Verb staggered moved unsteadily He moved very lurched
struggling Verb trying with difficulty I was struggling to find the right path
impairments Adjective threatening and about to happen at any moment The impairments stressed the class out
