| Biosphere | The part of Earth where life exists, including land, water, and the atmosphere. |
| Geosphere | The solid part of the Earth, including the crust, mantle, and core. It excludes the atmosphere and hydrosphere. |
| Hydrosphere | The water component of the Earth, which includes oceans, lakes, rivers, glaciers, groundwater, and water vapor in the atmosphere. |
| Atmosphere | The layer of gases that surrounds Earth, including oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. It protects life on Earth by blocking harmful solar radiation and moderating the climate. |
| Conserve | To protect, preserve, or use resources carefully and efficiently. |

| Sequester | To isolate or store something. |

| Correlation | A statistical relationship or connection between two or more variables, where changes in one are associated with changes in another. |
| Causation | The action of causing something to happen. It is the relationship where one event directly causes another. |
| Aesthetic | Relating to beauty, artistic expression, or the appreciation of what is visually or sensorially pleasing. |
