Astronomy
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Revolution | The movement of an object around another object |
| Rotation | The spinning motion of a planet on its axis |
| Axis | The imaginary line that passes through Earth's center at the North and South Poles |
| Composition | What something is made of |
| Comets | A ball of ice and dust in space |
| Asteroids | A small rocky object |
| Meteoroids | A small piece of an asteroid or comet |
| Moon Phases | The amount of light or dark of the moon we see, this changes with the position of the sun, moon, and Earth |
| Waning | When the moon is losing light, the dark starts on the right side |
| Waxing | When the moon is gaining light, the light starts on the right side |
| Crescent | When the moon is less than 50% lit, but more than 0% lit |

| Tilt | The angle that the earth or other objects are bent when spinning |
| Orbit | The path that an object takes when it revolves/moved around another object |
| Seasons | Periods of the year with specific weather conditions, due to tilt of the earth, the side tilted towards the sun gets more light and will be in summer, the side tiled away will get less sun and will be in winter |
| Sunlight | The light from the sun. lights up the half of the object facing the sun |
| Gravity | The pull from any object with mass. the more mass of the objects or the closer you are, the greater the gravitational pull |
| Inertia | The tendency of an objects at rest to stay at rest or an object in motion to stay in motion until changed by an outside force |
| Equator | An imaginary line drawn around the center of the Earth, located exactly halfway between the North and South Poles |
