Vocabulary
| Term | Definition |

| Point | an exact location in a plane and in space |
| Ray | part of a line. It has one endpoint and extends infinitely in one directions |
| Line | collection of points extending infinitely in both directions, with no endpoints. |
| Line segment | part of a line It has two endpoints. |
| Angle | formed by tow rays that share a common endpoint called a vertex. |
| Vertex | point at which two lines, line segments, or rays meet to form an angle. |
| Acute angle | angle greater than zero degrees but less than 90 degrees |
| Right angle | exactly 90 degrees |
| Obtuse angle | greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees |
| Straight angle | exactly 180 degrees |
| Complementary angle | two angles that equal 90 degrees |
| Supplementary angle | two angles that equal 180 degrees |
| Isosceles | two equal sides |
| Equilateral | three equal sides |
| Scalene | no equal sides |
| Right Triangle | has one right angle |
| Obtuse triangle | has one obtuse angle and two acute |
| Acute triangle | has three acute angle |
