Transparent Allows light to pass through
Translucent Allows some light to pass through
Opaque Does not allow any light to pass through
Shadow A dark area caused by light being blocked from an opaque object.
Color Spectrum Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet
White color The reflection of all colors of light
Black color The absorption of all colors of light
Green color The reflection of green light waves and absorption of all other light waves
Blue color The reflection of blue light waves and absorption of all other light waves.
Reflection The bouncing of light off the surface of a mirror-like object
Refraction The bending of light as it goes through different medium (air, water, glass)
Diffraction The bending of light around objects.
Plane Mirror Reflects light at the same angle it enters
Convex Mirror Spreads light reflection to see more objects in mirror
Concave Mirror Bends light to magnify the image.
Plane Lens Transmits light straight through
Convex Lens Will bend light towards a single point
Concave Lens Will spread light away from each other.
