QuestionAnswer
Infer Coming to conclusion from evidence and reasoning rather than statements
Main Idea Central Point or most important message of a text
Author's Purpose The reason the author wrote the text
Theme The underlying message or lesson in a story
Indicates Shows or suggest something without stating it directly
Tone The authors attitude toward the subject
Objective Based on facts and not influenced by personal feelings
Subjective Based on personal opinions or feelings

Connotation The emotional or cultural meaning associated with a word
Denotation The literal dictionary definition of a word
