| Demonstration | n. – a public exhibition of the attitude of a group toward a controversial issue made by picketing, parading, etc. |
| Protest | n., v. – an expression or declaration of objection, disapproval, or dissent |
| Picket | v. – to patrol a place of work affected by a strike in order to discourage its patronage and to make public the worker’s grievances. |
| Boycott | n., v. – to abstain from buying or using |
| Sit-in | n. – an organized, passive protest, esp. against racial segregation, in which the demonstrators occupy seats prohibited to them, as in restaurants |
