| בִּרְכַּת אִילָנוֹת | During ניסן we make a ברכה on a blossoming tree. |
| שַׁבָּת הַגָּדוֹל | The שבת before פסח when the Yidden took in a sheep and a big miracle happened. |
| מְעוֹת חִטִּים | Money to be given to the poor to buy מצות. |
| חָמֵץ | Any food made of a grain that has risen, it isn't allowed to be eaten on פסח. |
| קִטְנִיּוֹת | Peas, beans, legumes, even though they aren't grains, still aren't eaten on פסח. (By Ashkenazim). |
| 2448 | The year the Yidden were taken out of מצרים |
| מְכִירַת חָמֵץ | Selling the חמץ before פסח, so he doesn’t own any חמץ on פסח. A Rabbi does it as it is complicated. |
| בְּדִיקַת חָמֵץ | Searching for חמץ. The מצוה is to search for חמץ the night of יד ניסן. At that point the house must be clean, therefore there is the מנהג to put out 10 pieces to search for. |
| בִּטּוּל חָמֵץ | Nullifying חמץ. We declare that any חמץ one still has in their possession is considered like dust. We do this my saying כל חמירא, making everything ownerless. |
| בִּעוּר חָמֵץ | Burning the חמץ. The morning of ערב פסח we need to burn any חמץ we still have left. |
| בַּל יֵרָאֶה וּבַל יִמָּצֵא | It should not be seen or found, meaning that one isn’t allowed to own חמץ on פסח. |
| תַּעֲנִית בְּכוֹרוֹת | Fast of the firstborns. On ערב פסח the firstborn may not, usually they would join a sium, and then are allowed to eat. |
| עֵרוּב תַּבְשִׁילִין | We prepare food before יום טוב, so we can prepare food from יום טוב to the next day which will be שבת. |
| חַג הַפֶּסַח | One of the 4 names for the יום טוב, reminds us the ה skipped over the houses of the Yidden during מכת בכורות |
| חַג הַמַּצּוֹת | This name reminds us that the Yidden didn’t have enough time to let the dough rise. |
| חַג הָאָבִיב | This name shows us that פסח always happens in the spring. |
| זְמַן חֵרוּתֵנוּ | The time of our freedom, this name reminds us that it is the יום טוב of our redemption. |
| Gebrokts | מצה that got in contact with water, many have the מנהג to be careful this doesn't happen on פסח. |
| שְׁמוּרָה מַצָּה | מצה that the wheat has been watched to make sure it stays dry from the moment it is harvested. |
| מַיִם שֶׁלָּנוּ | Water which was left overnight, this is what we must do to the water we use for making מצות. |
| קַעֲרָהּ | The Seder plate. |
| כְּזַיִת | Like an olive size. It is an amount one needs to eat of the מצה and מרור. |
| כְּדֵי אֲכִילַת פְּרָס | The amount it takes to eat half a loaf of bread, accepted opinion is about 4 minutes. One should eat the מצה within this time. |
| כּוֹס שֶׁל אֵלִיָּהוּ | The special cup of wine is poured for אליהו הנביא before benching, it is poured back into the bottle at the end of the seder. |
| לֵיל שִׁמּוּרִים | The first night of פסח is a time that ה watches extra over us. |
| חֹל הַמּוֹעֵד | The weekday of יום טוב, meaning it is somewhere in between a weekday and a יום טוב. |
| שְׁבִיעִי שֶׁל פֶּסַח | The 7th day of פסח, this is the time they Yidden went through the ים סוף, we have the מנהג to stay up the whole night. |
| אַחֲרוֹן שֶׁל פֶּסַח | The last day of פסח. We have the מנהג to eat gebrokts on this day. |
| אִסְרוּ חַג | The day after יום טוב, because אסר means bound, the day after is still connected to the יום טוב. |
