umbra a shadow that blocks sunlight
penumbra around the darkest shadow from the moon
tide daily changes in the level of ocean water
tidal rang the differences between the levels of ocean water at high tide and low tide
spring tide tides that have the largest daily tidal rang
neap tide tides that have the smallest daily tidal rang
