What are linkage institutions? They allow individuals to communicate their preferences to policymakers.
What are political parties? They are organized groups of people that share similar ideologies, goals, and policy preferences.
What are the 6 functions of political parties? Win elections, develop a platform, educate and mobilize voters, recruit candidates, campaign management, and govern when in power.
What is the primary function of a political party? Win elections.
What is educating voters? Providing facts that frame issues in a way that aligns with party ideology.
What is mobilization? Motivating voters to turnout and vote in elections.
What is mobisuasion? It is both educating and mobilizing people.
