University Institution of learning of the highest level
Community College Nonresidential junior college
Admissions The office you apply to when sending in your college applications.
Undergraduate A student in a university; has not received the first especially a bachelors degree.
Graduate Bachelors; first professional degree; or is studying for an advanced degree.
Tuition charge or fee
Credit Unit that measures learning
Major specific area of study you're focusing on
Minor A secondary area of study
Private university/college rely more heavily on student tuition; alumni donations and endowments
GPA dividing the total number of grade points received by the total number of credits
Room and board room as your dorm or housing, including your bed, desk, heat, utilities, and Wi-Fi, and board as your meal
Register register students, record grades, prepare student transcripts, evaluate academic records, assess and collect tuition and fees.
Dormitory a building; at a college, containing a number of private or semiprivate rooms for residents
Semester a division constituting half of the regular academic year, lasting typically from 15 to 18 weeks.
Dean Head of a faculty, school, or administrative division
Transcript certified record of a student throughout a course of study.
Transfer to withdraw from one school, college, and enter another.
