Whats a srength of a lab study in Milgrams research? high levels of control, high levels of validity and highly standardised
whats a limitation of a lab study within milgrams research? lacks ecological validity, as it is not something that usually happens in society.
In this study, is population validity high or low and why? Low- not everyone is a white american male, aged 20-50, so it cannot be generalised.
Is reliability high or low and why? high- standardised, highly reliable (replicable) and highly controlled
Why was internal validity high in this study? because sheriden and kings study showing that people thought they delivered a shock on a puppy, proves that obedience in milgrams study was real.
Why was internal validity low in this study? ppts guessed the shocks were fake, so were 'play-acting'- social desirable bias- 'please you'
