| Physician | MD or DO; Skilled healthcare provider, attended and graduated medical school |
| Epidemiologist | Specialist in the study of causes & distribution of disseases in populations, use of data to protect public health |
| Physician Assistan (PA) | Mid-level healthcare provider working under license of supervising physician; requires post-graduate training |
| Nurse Practitioner (NP) | A nurse w/ post-graduate trainning that serves as mid-level healthcare provider working under license of supervising physician; |
| Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) | Trained and certified to provide basic care to a patient |
| Medical assistant | Trained to carry out basic administrative and clinical tasks under the guidance of a health care provider |
| Pathologist | A physician w/ special training in both evaluating the causes and effects of diseases and in laboratory medicine |
| Medical Laboratory Technician | Trained in performing laboratory testing on bodily fluids |
