ERP System Set of integrated programs that manage critical operations for an entire organization
What does an ERP system do? It ties the whole flow together by using a single integrated database and linked modules so each step automatically updates the next step
ERP Advantages - Control Costs and product flows using real time data - Tracks organizational commitments from start to finish - Standardises diverse operations - Integrates front office and back office faster - Improves access to entire business
ERP Challenges - High cost - Long implementation to bring the system in - Employees might not like new changes - Data migration ; data might be deleted by mistake
