| Predator | An animal that hunts in each other animals |
| Prey | An animal that is hunted and eaten by another animal |
| Scarcity | When there is not enough of a resource(like food, water, or space) for all organisms |
| Niche | The roll or job an organism has in its ecosystem. (how it survives and gets resources.) |
| Predatory relationship | Involve predator hunting and eating prey |
| Competitive relationship | Involve organisms trying to obtain the same resources in an ecosystem |
| Symbiotic relationship | Involve long-term interactions for at least one of the organisms benefit benefits |
| Mutualism | Two species live among one another while both benefit from the relationship. Each species provides something for the other. |
| Parasitism | A parasite lives on or within a host organism. The parasite benefits while the host is harmed. |
| Commensalism | To organisms live closely together. One benefits, while the other is neither harmed or helped. |
