| Accuracy of Sources | in research, the quality of being free from mistakes or errors |
| Authority | The source of information; an authoritative source is considered reliable because it has been proven to be authentic. |
| Author's Purpose | The authors intent for writing for the audience |
| Bias | When a writer or speaker exhibits a partiality or against. some are directly stated while some are not. most brand ads are bias to support the brand. |
| Credibility | the aspect of being trusted; having a credible text means that the information contained withing is reliable |
| Current | present time, relevant |
| Depth | level of detail in a source |
| Evaluate | To form an opinion or judgement about the content and more parts of the text. |
| Intended Audience | The person or people meant to read, view, or hear the authors image |
| Objectivity | An absence of Bias, judgement, or prejudice |
| Timeliness | Appropriate for time or occasion |
| Verifiability | the ability to be confirmed as accurate and truthful |
| Scope | How much of a subject is discussed or covered by the source |
| Broaden | to further explore a topic and expand thinking |
| Inquiry | the seeking of information through questioning; is an initial step in a process related to research. |
| Narrow | to ask exploratory questions to focus and refine research |
| Refine | to improve by removing unnecessary details |
| Research | investigating and studying sources and materials |
| Research question | a question related to your research, and investigate |
| Topic | the subject matter on which a person focuses on their research |
