What is a Map shows places on earth

What can both be found on a map? Land and Water
One Place water can be found on Earth is the Ice on top of mountains
What is erosion is when rock, soil, or sand is worn down and moved to another place.
Water can Break rocks into small pieces and carry the pieces away
What can water change overtime? the shape of the landforms like mountains and cliffs
What does scale mean? How big or small something is and how fast or slow something changes
Geologists think about what? Size and Time
TO KNOW small changes that are hard to see can add up to big changes over a long time
What do Geologists do? Use maps to study land changes, Investigate changes over time, and write scientific explanations
When studying erosion, scientists may see what? Many small changes, small changes over a long time, and big changes happening slowly
TO KNOW Sometimes land changes so slowly that people don't even notice.
