All-inclusive Resort a vacation property that bundles lodging, unlimited meals, beverages (including alcohol), entertainment, and most on-site activities into a single upfront price
Amenities desirable, non-essential features, services, or facilities that enhance comfort, convenience, and quality of life in homes, workplaces, or public spaces
Aparthotel a hybrid accommodation offering the space, privacy, and self-catering amenities of a serviced apartment, combined with traditional hotel services like 24/7 reception, housekeeping, and fitness centers.
B&B sleeping accommodations for a night and a morning meal, provided in guest houses and small hotels.
Chain Hotel a property operating under a shared brand, management, or franchise agreement, offering consistent services, quality standards, and often loyalty rewards.
Concierge a hotel employee whose job is to assist guests by arranging tours, making theater and restaurant reservations, etc
Eco Hotel environmentally responsible accommodations that minimize their impact through sustainable practices, such as using renewable energy, waste reduction, water conservation, and locally sourced materials.
Group Rate a discounted price offered to a large party (typically 5–10+ people or rooms) booking services together, such as hotels, airlines, or tourist attractions.
Hostel an establishment that provides inexpensive lodging for a specific group of people, such as students, workers, or travelers.
Hotel an establishment providing accommodations, meals, and other services for travelers and tourists.
Market Segmentation the process of dividing a broad target market into smaller, more manageable groups of consumers who share similar characteristics, needs, or behaviors.
Micro-stay Hotel a lodging option where guests book rooms for short, flexible durations—typically in 3, 6, or 12-hour blocks—rather than the traditional overnight stay.
Motel a roadside hotel designed primarily for motorists, typically having the rooms arranged in a low building with parking directly outside.
peak day the busiest, highest-demand, or maximum-intensity periods, such as holidays, peak travel seasons, or peak energy usage times.
Porter a person employed to carry luggage and other loads, especially in a railroad station, airport, or hotel.
Premium Price is a strategy where companies intentionally set prices higher than their competitors to create a perception of superior quality, luxury, and exclusivity.
Shoulder Days generally refer to two distinct concepts depending on the context: in fitness, it is a dedicated workout session targeting the deltoid muscles.
Tourist Destination a geographical area—such as a city, town, or resort—that attracts visitors for sightseeing, recreation, or leisure.
VRBO Founded in 1995, it is an online marketplace specializing in booking private, whole-home rentals—such as houses, cabins, and condos—rather than shared rooms, making it popular for family vacations and group travel.
